I love Harper Logan books and she's an auto buy author for me. So far all of the books I've read have been five stars that left me with big silly grins on my face. Unfortunately, this one only ended up being a four. The writing is still great and I absolutely still recommend the book as I did enjoy it myself. It's just that it was missing something the others had. I don't know exactly what. I didn't fall in love with the characters. I liked them! Don't get me wrong. But I never fell in love. A spark, a certain something was just missing. This book was also a bit more serious than the others. Not as lighthearted, witty, charming, feelgood. Ok that makes it sound like I didn't like it, and that's not at all the case and I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying the book. You should absolutely buy the book. I received a free arc copy, but I still bought the book. Because....Harper Logan wrote it, lol Even if the book wasn't a fall in love five star it was still a really liked it four star. And unfortunately this review is harder for me because I am comparing it to the other books I've read and not necessarily this book all on it's own. So, I'll stop rambling and repeating myself and just say, I enjoyed Something New. It was a nice read if not my favorite. I also enjoyed the cameos from several characters from the last few books. I recommend all of Harper Logan's books and I look forward to the next.Product details

I am so in love with Brooklyn and Austin - what a wonderful love story. This is a tale not of Austin realizing that he's into guys, but discovering that he's into Brooklyn. And as he keeps falling further and further into something like love with Brooklyn, the journey is equally sweet and sexy. What a book!
I enjoyed this book a great deal. Although this is the first time I've read a novel by this author, I 'm sure I will read more.
Again with the Runaway Hearts series Harper Logan has come up with a story to grab you mind and heart. Characters fall in love even as they question and fight against the inevitable. Previous heartache or thinking yourself straight are minor problems to overcome. Major problems can be faced and solved together. With interesting characters and skilled writing the reader is drawn in and looks forward in his own life.
I absolutely adored this story. Everyone in it, with the exception of Alex, but hey, without him, Austin and Brooklyn never would have gotten married and I wouldn't have been able to enjoy such a great story, so I forgive him.
Brooklyn and Austin are two adorable guys whose life experiences have made them determined to avoid a committed relationship. All bets are off, however, when a charity close to Brooklyn's heart is in danger of closing due to lack of funding. Suddenly a very tempting $100,000 wager leads to an arranged marriage and a chemistry these two gorgeous men can't ignore. Surely they can stay fake married for a year to save Brooklyn's project.
I loved every page of this book and couldn't put it down until it's very satisfying conclusion.
“Something New” This is my first book from Harper Logan and I’d have to say it was a GREAT romantic comedy. It was fun to watch her plot evolve through all the twists and turns. And I loved her characters! This a must read book. “I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review."
Terrific book. I totally loved it. The cling wrap and aluminum foil story are epic.
One (hopefully constructive) criticism that's a potential spoiler?
SPOILER SPACE
The main character who's always assumed he was straight turns into a total bottom pretty quickly here, once he decides he's, basically, bisexual. It doesn't work that way. If anything, the question of "who's on top?" would be a bigger deal than it is here -- and that's something that Brooklyn, as you've written him, would have known. It's just an observation, but you came very close here to making one of these characters "the wife." They're husbands. Neither of them is "the wife." This is NOT an easy realization to reach, which I hope you'll realize is just fraught with really interesting things to write about. Especially in the alternating first-person format you used here to such great effect. I really loved this book. It's clear you've got the chops to dive into an additional layer of complexity, which I really look forward to seeing you do.
Thanks for this book. It's a great read, and a love story that I just can't help smile thinking about. -D
